A small detour off the Dingle Way to Tig Bhric will allow for the famous monastic site of An Riasc to be included on the itinerary. Although it is located a little to the west of Ballyferriter, Tig Bhric is like its own self-contained village with the owners running a bed and breakfast, shop and pub serving food.
The bed and breakfast is beside the pub and bedrooms having all mod cons; ensuite, television and tea & coffee making facilities. Evening meals are available at the bar with seafood chowder being their specialty dish. Tig Bhric prefer to use their own homegrown vegetables and other local organic produce.
The pub has recently gone into production of micro-beers under the title of "Beoir Chorca Dhuibhne". There are two different cask conditioned ales available to drink at the bar. With some advance notice, it may be possible to get a tour of the brewery. Other regular events at the pub are traditional Irish music sessions on Friday nights and art and sculpture exhibitions.
Those wishing to visit Tig Bhric for either an overnight stay or just for lunch, should continue on the Dingle Way past any turn-offs for Ballyferriter until reaching Wine Strand, then follow the minor road south-west to meet the main road. Tig Bhric is on this T-junction.
