Rainbow Hostel is located on the outskirts of Dingle town and is approximately 300m off the Dingle Way. The hostel was formerly the family home of the Riordans. It has since been transformed into quality budget accommodation with all the modern conveniences whilst retaining the welcome homely feel and a nice communal atmosphere.
The hostel has a fully-equiped self-catering kitchen as well as a housed-in Barbeque area outside. The drying room is there for Dingle Way walkers who arrive in wet gear and there is a laundry service available. Free WiFi access is throughout the hostel.
There is a good mix of options when staying at Rainbow Hostel. Bedrooms with double, twin, triple and quadruple beds are booked as a 'Private Room', whereas the larger six- and eight-bed dormitories are booked as 'Single Beds' within the room. All bedrooms use shared bathrooms, except for the family room which has it's own ensuite.
With some prebooking required, there is a free mini-bus laid on for guests which departs from behind Supervalu, in the centre of Dingle. The pickup times coincide with the arrival of the Bus Éireann's service. In the high season, these times are: 10.00, 12.00, 15.00, 17.00 and 19.00.
Camping is permitted outside the front of the hostel and the fee for this is based per person (check current rates on Details page). Campers have full access to the facilities provided by the hostel, mainly the toilets, shower block, drying room, kitchen and barbeque areas. They also have access to the free WiFi.
