Lurraga House is located on a quiet cul-de-sac, just off the main Camp to Castlegregory road. The beach is a few minutes walk away and there are mountain panoramic mountain views from Slieve Mish right along the Dingle Peninsula. The Dingle Way is approximately 800m away and is accessed at Kilgobbin Church. Although Camp village is 1.5km away, transport is provided for walkers to get dinner at one of the local pubs.

The House

Lurraga House is a three star Fáilte Ireland approved bed and breakfast. There are four bedrooms in the main house, all with a private bathroom and complimentary toiletries. There are tea making facilities in each bedroom and a television has all the free-to-air stations.

There are further two bedrooms in the annex and contains a kitchenette. Whilst this is more suited for a family staying for several nights, it may be available for shorter stays and smaller group size depending on the time of the season.

Guests are welcome to use the sun room to relax in and the use of the pool table is free. Wifi access is also provided for, without any charge.

The Garden

The house is set back from the road which provides the space for a large front garden. The garden furniture on the patio is available for guests to use, should they wish to eat and drink there in the evening and to relax to the sound of the water feature as it flows into the fish pond.

Home-Grown Food

Guests at Lurraga House can sample home-grown produce from the back garden. Fresh eggs are collected from the free range hens and ducks are served for breakfast each morning. The honey used for the porridge also originates from their collection of bee hives in the back field. The fruit trees and vegetable plot provide other seasonal produce for the dinner table.

Walker Specific Offerings

Dingle Way walkers starting from Camp can leave their car and extra luggage at the Lurraga House if they intend to finish back at Camp at the end of their walk. A packed lunch and luggage transfer to the next accommodation can be organised with some advance notice.

If there are any logistical problems trying to organise travel to Tralee or Kerry Airport, Lurraga House can help out once there is enough notice given.

For guests spending extra time in the area, there is a locally written walking guide available, with the loop walks at the nearby Glenteenassig Woods being recommended.
